Here are a few ways I can help, ordered from the most hands-on to the most hands-off type of engagements:

  • As your dedicated developer or technical lead: If you need someone to help you for a fixed number of hours a week, I can roll up my sleeves and join your team as a developer. I'll lead the way through the digital unknown, not only providing support and guidance, but also writing production code as one of yours.
  • Helping you turn designs into websites and apps: I can work with your design team to their turn static designs into high quality prototypes, websites, and design systems. I care deeply about web standards and aim to produce work that’s not only beautiful, but works well across every breakpoint, performs optimally, and is accessible to users utilizing assistive technologies.
  • Auditing and fixing your front-end code: Armed with extensive knowledge and industry best practices, I can audit your existing codebase to discover any issues with your code's architecture, performance, or accessibility. I'll help you navigate and make sense of complex topics like balancing performance and aesthetics, CSS architecture, component-based development, passing accessibility guidelines, and more.
  • Regular check-ins: I'll touch base with you weekly, monthly, or quarterly to provide guidance, resources, code reviews, and useful advice. We'll evaluate your progress, clear any roadblocks, and make sure your team has everything they need to continue moving forward.

We'll be a great fit if

  • You're looking for an expert: I stand behind everything that I do, and will do my best to ensure the highest quality outcome. While that may sound good in paper, sometimes it means telling you something isn't a good idea, and collaborating to figure out how to get to the best outcome possible. If you're after someone who will say yes to every request without ever caring about your project's end result, then I'm not the person you're looking for.
  • You're not shopping for the lowest price: My rates are standard for a web developer with over 10 years experience, but I don't compete on prices. If you value cheaper work over quality, you're better off looking somewhere else.
  • You're not expecting me to sell my soul for money: I take my work very seriously and will put a reasonable effort to get back to you quickly during business hours, but I won't be able to take on calls, meetings, or reply to chat messages, or emails during weekends or outside of office hours (9am - 5pm EST).
